Women in the digital World: Safety and EmpowermentLaura is a lawyer, mother of two girls and partner of the leading digital/technology/life sciences firm in Italy, Portolano Cavallo, with offices in Rome, Milan and New York.
For over twenty years, she has been dealing with all issues related to data protection, internet and e-commerce sector, Information Technology, and commercial contracts. She graduated in Law with honors in 1996 from LUISS Guido Carli. In 2003, while expecting her first child, she joined Portolano Cavallo - then a very young Italian reality - of which she became a partner in 2007, after returning from her second pregnancy.
Always attentive to issues related to female leadership, empowerment, work-life balance, and diversity, she has participated in various mentoring and tutoring programs and is the vice president of the Women and Technology association - Womentech.
Laura consistently participates in seminars and conferences, she is a lecturer at the Master Responsible for Personal Data Protection: Data Protection Office and Privacy Expert at Roma Tre, she has edited and contributed to publications on privacy and artificial intelligence.
