Women&Tech - Women and Technologies Association officially launches its new project dedicated to young women: Women&Tech ® Young Ambassadors.
The initiative is aimed at girls who are currently pursuing or have completed degrees in STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and also Arts, i.e. humanities).
"The Young Ambassadors are, in our intentions - explains the President and Founder of the Association, Gianna Martinengo - girls who want to approach our reality in an open and proactive way, who want to become protagonists, not just spectators, of the world of work; who believe they can make an important contribution to society and have that right touch of ambition skillfully balanced with humility, generosity, and seriousness. In a truly epochal phase of contemporary history, we believe it is important to value the talent of those who intend to dedicate themselves, with their own abilities, to a future different from what we had imagined just a year ago."
The initiative aims to make Young Ambassadors visible on the communication channels commonly used by the Association. At the same time, it invites young women to promote the associative spirit and involve other girls, to increase the audience of Ambassadors, in a positive drive of talents ready to express themselves.
Young women will be invited free of charge to all events of the Association; they will be able to participate in mentorship initiatives led by authoritative associates. Furthermore, they will receive an individual coaching path to more effectively enter the world of work.
The first Young Ambassadors selected by Women&Tech are already present on the website www.womentech.eu, in their dedicated section. Each student is featured with their own biography, image, and a video in which they share their personal "desire for the future and profession". Among them are graduates in industrial biotechnology, marine biology, law, students attending courses in marketing & corporate communication, engineering, physics, nanotechnology, and economic studies.
“Every association needs to look to the future in a concrete way, seeking help and inspiration from the new generations. In this sense, the Young Ambassadors are a vital force for Women&Tech. Their support, their mental freshness, their desire to become protagonists will be precious to us: the building block on which to construct the society that awaits us in the post-pandemic era,” added President Martinengo.
