Gianluca Carenzo is a Techonology Transfer for HIT (Hub Innovation Trentino) is a consortium and non-lucrative company that promotes theresults of research and innovation in the Trentino system in order to support the developmentof the local economy. The mission is supporting the results of scientific research throughtechnology transfer activities to private companies and investors and supporting stakeholders and companies in innovation processes and internationalisation in national and European networks (eg Cluster Technologies, KIC, Technology Platforms).

He was the Executive Director of Parco Tecnologico Padano, a science and technology park and cluster management organisation in the agro-biotechnology sector promoted in Lodi (Milan area) by Regione Lombardia and local institutions.

Born in 1972, after an experience in Regione Lombardia-COR for the set up of a network of research  centres in 1999, Gianluca Carenzo joined Biopolo Milano, a leading technology transfer agency in Italy for consultancy in the biotechnology sector.
In 2003 was hired as Project manager in Parco Tecnologico Padano. Since January 2008 is the Executive director.
Gianluca Carenzo is also currently running an incubator program for innovative start ups in the agrofood & health sector, namely ALIMENTA and is member of the board of start up companies.

Gianluca Carenzo is expert in consultancy for selection of funding opportunity for innovative SMES, technical assistance in the due diligence finance process and business planning consultancy and cluster management and cooperation.

Since 2004 is member of working groups in ASSOBIOTEC, the Italian association of biotech industries, affiliated to Confindustria and since 2010 is coordinator of the national working group on Industrial Biotechnology.

Since 2012 Gianluca is also member of the board of directors of APSTI, the Italian association of Science Park.

Gianluca Carenzo is also expert in cluster management and was the coordinator ofthe “ABC network project, a network of European agro-biotech clusters”,  project funded under the first Europe Innova call 2006-2008 ( www.europe-innova.org )
