Mary Franzese is a Neapolitan woman who defines herself as a dreamer but stubborn entrepreneur and citizen of the world.
At 18, after receiving a rejection from her father to join the family business, she does not give up and decides to leave her homeland. She then obtains a degree in Business Economics from LIUC in Castellanza, an Erasmus at Turku School of Economics (Finland), a Winter School at Universidad de Belgrano (Argentina) and a Summer School at Fudan University in Shanghai (China). After these experiences around the world and even before completing the specialization in Business Economics, she holds the position of General Director at a cooperative active in the social-healthcare sector for two years.
In January 2013, his life was marked by a new turning point: he left the management of the cooperative to enroll in the Master's program in Entrepreneurship and Business Strategy at SDA Bocconi in Milan. In May, he participated as a Startup MBA Partner in an acceleration program and joined as the business, strategic, and communication soul of the founding team of Neuron Guard, an innovative startup that developed a system for managing brain temperature in the field of intensive medicine, emergency, and sports (to improve cognitive performance).
She loves to travel, share her story and passions for new technologies and cooking, and help other women in their entrepreneurial journey.
She has received several awards, including the Giuliana Bertin Communication Award (2016) as the best communicative entrepreneur, the "Germoglio d'oro" (2017) from the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, and most recently the "UK Italy Women in Business Award" from the Department for International Trade (DIT).
In 2017, she was mentioned by Wired Italia among the 50 people to keep an eye on, and she reached the finals of the European Prize for Women Innovators (WIPrizeEU, European Commission) in the Rising Women Innovators category.
