Nuove opportunità di lavoro per i giovaniGraduated in Bioengineering, currently in the third year of a PhD program in Cognitive Robotics, Interaction and Rehabilitation Technologies. I was born in Genoa in 1995. After attending the Scientific High School G.D. Cassini, I enrolled in the Biomedical Engineering degree program at the University of Genoa. In addition to my studies, I obtained a diploma by attending as a scholarship recipient an excellent training program (Institute of advanced Studies in Information and Communication Technologies, ISICT-ISSUGE) offered by the University in collaboration with a consortium of companies.
I then enrolled in the Master's degree in Bioengineering with a focus on Neuroengineering and Bio-ICT. I won a scholarship to spend 6 months in the United States, in Chicago, where I completed my thesis project at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (formerly Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). Since I was a child, I have always been driven by a great curiosity to understand how the world around me works.
Scientific research has been a natural continuation of this attitude of mine. I am currently in the third year of my PhD in Cognitive Robotics, Interaction and Rehabilitation Technologies at the Italian Institute of Technology, where I study human-robot interaction with iCub. In particular, I am focused on understanding how the implicit information contained in our gestures can be interpreted and replicated by the robot.
I enjoy sharing my passion for science and the world of research. During university, I was an animator at the Genoa Science Festival for several years, an opportunity to tell science in an innovative and engaging way, with interactive events for children, teenagers, and adults.
I am a very passionate reader and a lover of nature, especially the mountains: whenever I can, I escape for a hike or a via ferrata, recently I am getting closer to the world of climbing.
