These are the technologies to leverage to trigger the innovative push necessary for the country's relaunch and to make the economy sustainable. Precisely because they are enabling technologies for a better future for society and the environment, it is interesting to reflect on the growth of the sector and the new professions that are emerging, from the world of academic research to industry, and which will increasingly play a key role in addressing current challenges and pursuing environmental and social sustainability goals. Through a comparison between Women&Tech® Young Ambassadors, scientists, and entrepreneurs in the sector, the meeting will shed light on the contribution that biotech can make to embark on the transformation path envisaged by the Green Deal. A handover to enhance female talent in the biotech field and cultivate new talents and skills. With the contribution of Lucia Gardossi, Elena Sgaravatti, Sandra Hochscheid, Alessia Soru, Beatrice Meneghetti, during the meeting, part of the project "Ready4Future - New jobs opportunities for young people", we will take stock of Biotech, illustrating the challenges and especially the career opportunities in this sector, in the academic and corporate world. Because the challenge of the Green Deal and the necessary ecological transition are fueling new synergies between universities and companies and the growth of a sector, that of biotech, crucial for implementing the necessary changes in a green key. If research and innovation are the driving force for sustainable development, what paths should be taken to be protagonists of the Green Economy? How is the university facing the challenge and promoting the construction of a green future (doctorates, scholarships, brain return)? What skills are required by the market? Which sectors of the biotech sector (food, agriculture, environment, health...) are healthier and more in demand? What challenges do those who are at the forefront of environmental (marine) preservation face and what are the new professions connected to the blue economy?
