Biotech, the better future - For our health, for our environment, for Italy

Women&Tech® - Women and Technologies Association will be present with its own corner.

Appointment on November 9th with the grand final event of the project "Biotech, the better future - For our health, for our environment, for Italy", promoted by Assobiotec Federchimica with the support of StartupItalia. An event, finally also in person, at the Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome. It will be the opportunity to conclude a journey that has accompanied us throughout 2021, where we have deepened with the different reference stakeholders the main topics of interest for the biotechnology sector, in its various applications. From life sciences to bioeconomy, we will meet together, from 10 am to 5 pm, to discuss how innovation is necessary to look towards a healthier and more sustainable future for us and for the planet that hosts us. But also how biotechnological innovation can be one of the strategic levers for the economic and employment recovery of our country. Women&Tech® will be present with our Young AmbassadorAlessia Soru, on the panel "The science to come, the work that will be", during which the survey results of Ernst&Young, Frezza&Partners, Manpower and Pearson Italy "What future for skills in the biotech sector" will be presented. The panel will include:
  • Macello Cattani , Country Lead - President & Managing Director Sanofi Italy
  • Maria Carla Gilardi, Delegate of the Minister of University and Research.
  • Amelia Parente, HR, Communications & Transformation Director at Roche
  • Alessia Soru , Women&Tech Young Ambassador and Medical Biotechnology, first year, master's degree, Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna.
Throughout the day, in the foyer hall, startuppers, researchers, and students will have the opportunity to connect with the biotech business world by directly interacting with experts from companies, StartupItalia, and Assobiotec. Women & Tech ® - Women and Technologies Association will be present with their own corner.

One2one meetings on the opportunities of biotechnologies in all its colors

Women&Tech® - Women and Technologies Association , thanks to a network of companies and individuals united by a passion for science and technology and a desire to bridge gender disparities, has been dedicated since 2009 to enhancing female talent, promoting actions aimed at combating gender stereotypes and discrimination. towards guiding young people towards the professions of the future and towards sustainable business models.

At the W&T corner of "Biotech for a Better Future", different generations, senior professionals from the Management and Entrepreneurship world will meet students, recent graduates, and doctoral candidates along with Women Young Ambassadors, who will have the role of facilitating interaction and promoting understanding of the sustainable opportunities that biotechnologies can offer in response to the urgent demands for solutions for human health and the environment.

It is indeed from the awareness of "where we are" and from the knowledge of the solutions that Biotech makes available today, that new opportunities, including entrepreneurial ones, open up for the young people of a better future: we will be there to discuss it together and to read and interpret the world that will come with a different perspective. We look forward to seeing many of you there, curious and eager.
