Questions to understand the present and design the futureAspiring lawyer with an innate passion for all things creative and innovative. During my years at the law school in Bologna, this passion has led me to explore and delve into various topics related to the law of new technologies, intellectual property, and privacy.
In my thesis, I talked about blockchain and copyright, exploring just one of the many examples of how technology offers a tool to reconsider and improve traditional legal, social, and economic mechanisms. My interest in these subjects has often taken me around Italy and the world in search of study and deepening opportunities. During university, I spent a semester at UTS: University of Technology Sydney (Australia) and interned at the IT Law Programme of the University of Tartu (Estonia). For a few months now, I have been collaborating with the legal firm Portolano Cavallo, specialized in the digital, media, and life sciences sectors.
My academic journey has always been accompanied by involvement in ELSA (The European Law Students’ Association). Thanks to the interaction with the vast network of members and alumni throughout Europe, the experience with ELSA has made me realize the urgency of bridging the gap between traditional methods of legal education and the future of legal professions, in a sector already heavily impacted by technological advancements.
