My name is Elena, I am 27 years old and I live in Milan. I have always been passionate about the world of cosmetics, fascinated and curious about the combinations of ingredients that make up the products we use daily and the scientific research that leads to their creation.

Determined to become part of this world, at the end of scientific high school I started the Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology course at the State University of Milan, which, thanks to a transversal and multidisciplinary scientific approach, provides skills suitable for numerous professional fields, including the cosmetic industry.

I carried out a year of experimental thesis in collaboration with the cosmetic company "Cosmopharmac" to create a line of cosmetic products with anti-spot action based on the active ingredient "Tranexamic Acid," an innovative depigmenting molecule. This experience allowed me to get to know the company reality and to become familiar with the Research and Development work in all its aspects, from the knowledge of raw materials, to formulative techniques, to the requirements of quality, safety, and effectiveness of the finished product.

After completing the five years of the single-cycle master's degree, I decided to take an advanced course in "Cosmetic Sciences" in order to integrate and deepen my theoretical and practical knowledge of cosmetic products and ingredients. At the same time, I started working in the Research and Development laboratory of a cosmetic company, focusing on the formulation of skincare and bodycare products.

I consider myself a dynamic, curious person with a strong desire to challenge myself. I am the youngest of six children, which has allowed me to develop skills in adaptability, listening, open-mindedness to different ideas, but also to know how to find the right space to make my opinion heard.

I often engage in environmental volunteering activities, as it is a topic that I care deeply about.
