The event "Women and STE(A)M, between past and future", organized by the University of Milan-Bicocca, aims to address the themes of inclusivity and gender equity in access to education and careers in scientific and entrepreneurial fields within the STE(A)M disciplines. Through a comparison with figures who have paved the way for women in STE(A)M careers, we will reflect on how to support educational and professional choices as well as on which strategies to implement to promote a more inclusive and diversified environment in the STE(A)M sectors. Furthermore, the role of women in research and innovation will be examined, focusing on current challenges and future opportunities to encourage greater female participation in these crucial areas for social and economic development.
