On March 25, at 6:00 PM , the cycle "The Tomorrow of Milan. The Future of the Country" returns with a new online meeting entitled "A city that values its resources. The future for women and youth" .
The series of meetings is promoted by the State University of Milan to look beyond the pandemic and imagine the future of the country starting from what has been and hopefully will return to be the main locomotive: Milan with its complexities, contradictions, but also extraordinary resources.
The meeting on March 25, therefore, simply adds a piece to the debate launched by the Milanese University with the first meeting dedicated to health (January 28) and the second one focusing on cultural models (February 18), bringing together professors, experts, journalists, and students for a discussion on the role of women and young generations in the fields of science, work, and challenges related to social transformation.
Opened with greetings from the rector Elio Franzini and from Marilisa D'Amico , pro-rector for Legality, Transparency, and Equality of Rights, the debate is coordinated by the journalist Barbara Stefanelli , deputy director of "Corriere della Sera" and director of the weekly "Sette", and will feature interventions from Maria Pia Abbracchio , deputy pro-rector and pro-rector delegated to Research and Innovation, on "Women and Science", from Gianna Martinengo , founder and president of Didael KTS and creator of Women&Technologies®, on "The work of the future" and from Francesca Zajczyk , emeritus professor of Urban Sociology at Bicocca, on "Social transformations and the role of women".
To speak on behalf of the student community will be Guglielmo Mina, president of the Student Conference, Luca Vezzoli, representative of UniSì in the Board of Directors, and Houda Latrech, representative of students at the department of Italian and supranational Public Law, vice president of the SUM-Unimi association and vice president of the Italian Network of Leaders for Inclusion (NILI).
