From a recent study, it emerges that the majority of global companies have implemented Artificial Intelligence in their activities (34%) or are exploring this technology (39%), which means that almost 3 out of 4 companies surveyed have already come into contact with the world of AI. Only 22% of the companies participating in the survey stated that they do not use or explore the use of AI, and often the reason can be found in the lack of experience or knowledge on the subject.
It is interesting to note that the 5 main areas in which companies use Artificial Intelligence are: data security (36%), process automation (31%), virtual assistants / chatbots (26%), optimization of business processes (24%), and analysis of sensor data (Internet of Things) (24%).
But, as Peter Wegner argued, "interaction is smarter than the algorithm." In fact, Artificial Intelligence requires, like few other disciplines, a deep integration between scientific and humanistic culture: from mathematical modeling, to statistics, logic, psychology, linguistics, philosophy, sociology / (STEAM).
