Meetings and mentoring activities will involve over 20 associates, available to young and older women who have the potential to become true "Technovisionaries®".
On November 9th and 10th, the University of Bicocca in Milan (building U6, Piazza dell'Ateneo Nuovo 1) will speak the language of women who intend to assert and confirm their role within society and the world of work: the fourth edition of Elle Active! - The Forum of Active Women will take place, focusing on the changes that all women, from young graduates to those who intend to reinvent their career path, can implement by drawing on a large network of relationships and sharing of knowledge that will develop over the two days, through conferences, interactive workshops, and mentoring activities.
Women&Tech Women and Technology Association has decided to support the Elle Active! project as a qualified partner that has always spoken directly to the female world.
Because of the commitments that will give visibility to the Association:
- Gianna Martinengo, Founder of the Association and President of DKTS, on Sunday, November 10th at 3:45 PM, in the Aula Magna, will bring her experience to a panel led by Elle's director, Maria Elena Viola, entitled: "The professions of the future: environment, technological and scientific innovation, activism-NGO".
- 22 associates will make their expertise available to the participants of the Forum who wish to discuss topics related to work, empowerment, skills, and career during the afternoon sessions of the Mentoring "Face to Face" , which includes 1 hour and 30 minute slots for personalized coaching sessions. The Women&Tech Associates who will be present have high-profile resumes (they are managers, entrepreneurs, senior consultants, teachers) in various professional sectors (ICT, Biotech, Communication & Media, Universities, Finance, Multi-utility, ...).
The two Mentorship sessions organized by Women&Tech and offered to those who wish to participate will cover the following topics: "Learning from experience, learning from the future: how to network to share today's challenges and tackle those of tomorrow" and "Women and career: how to set up your own growth path".
They have confirmed their presence: Milena Bardoni, Beata Brozek, Viviana Callea, Erika Fattori, Maria Rita Fiasco, Arianna Fontana, Marina Gandini, Elena Giordano, Olga Iarussi, Daniela Maira, Simona Menghini, Raffaella Mollame, Federica Nolli, Claudia Omini, Paola Pavero, Angela Pavesi, Fabiola Pellegrini, Germana Remigi, Emilia Rio, Giulia Rossi, Maria Teresa Sica, Elena Viezzoli.
Self-empowerment, the courage to open new paths, to activate personal change, to recognize one's own value and use it to improve one's situation and grow professionally: the Elle Active! Forum, with its consolidated format already replicated in other countries (from France, China, Japan, Korea, Spain) makes concrete - and achievable - women's aspirations, creating a close connection between personal skills and job opportunities. This same approach has always been used by Women&Tech, especially towards young people . Hence also the commitment to the Mentoring session. Women&Tech Founder, Gianna Martinengo states: "Young people should not be encouraged based on hypothetical economic opportunities or 'success' in a sector, they should be helped to discover their motivations, their talents. This way they will turn their choice into progress for everyone, and foremost for themselves."
"Mentoring - adds the President of Women&Tech, Olga Iarussi on behalf of the board - represents a truly valuable exchange. It means, on the part of the Associates, being able to inspire, ignite passion, guide, help women to think differently. At the same time, we can grow together, multiplying opportunities and knowledge and trying to build something concrete, even just starting from a quick chat. We believe that every young person has the potential to become a true Tech Visionary®: initiatives like this allow us to bring out the true talent present in every woman."
