Curriculum

Department of Food, Nutrition and Environmental Sciences - DeFENS, University of Milan

Degree in Food Preparation Sciences, PhD in Food Biotechnology, and further studies abroad at the Department of Food Science and Technology (University of Reading, UK 1993) and the Institute of Food Research (Norwich, UK). Participation in the "European Nutrition Leadership Programme" (March 1998).

Since March 1999, he has been conducting research on the nutritional and health role of dietary patterns and numerous bioactive components of the diet through in vivo studies on humans and in vitro. He is also involved in the development of studies for the evaluation of eating behavior and satiety. He is an associate professor at the Human Nutrition Section of DeFENS (Department of Food, Nutrition and Environment Sciences) at the University of Milan where he teaches the course of Applied Nutrition for the Master's Degree in Food and Nutrition.

Research activity is supported by 75 international publications and 5 book chapters. He is part of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry and PharmaNutrition. He is a member of the Board of Directors of AITA (Italian Association of Food Technologies) and a member of SINU (Italian Society of Human Nutrition).
