International Award "Le Tecnovisionarie®" 2025Marika Savarese is a theoretical chemist with a PhD in Quantum Chemistry and a solid career in scientific research and technology innovation management. After graduating with honors in Chemistry from the University of Federico II in Naples, she continued her academic journey with a master's thesis and then a PhD focused on the photoreactivity of chromophores of biotechnological interest, employing advanced computational approaches and data analysis tools for the study of complex photochemical processes.
During her PhD, she conducted research activities at the IIT in Naples, Center for Advanced Biomaterials for Healthcare (CRIB@IIT) and was a visiting researcher at the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris (IRCP/Chimie ParisTech), contributing to the development of new computational protocols to analyze the reactivity of excited states through electronic metrics and predictive models. In 2014, she also carried out a research period at the Research Center for Computational Science in Okazaki, Japan.
From 2014 to 2017, she held the position of post-doctoral researcher at the D3-Compunet laboratory of the IIT in Genoa, contributing to the development of new theoretical methods in the field of Density Functional Theory.
Since 2018, she has been working in the field of data analysis and artificial intelligence, becoming part of the Datrix | AI Solutions group. To date, she leads the development of complex projects and coordinates multidisciplinary teams, applying machine learning to industrial and management processes. She is the author of over 30 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, has been an invited speaker at international conferences, and is actively involved in review activities for prestigious journals.
Unites scientific rigor, digital skills, and strategic vision in his current role as Head of Tech Innovation.
