Maria Luisa Nolli is co-founder and CEO of NCNbio, a new start-up in Technology Transfer in the biotech sector. Maria Luisa founded and was CEO of Areta International. 

She was a co-founder of two university spin-offs, HO.p.e., and Skin Squared respectively with the University of Milan and Modena. Maria Luisa (former student of Collegio Ghislieri, degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Pavia, PhD experience at Université Libre de Bruxelles), brought her experience in cellular biology and immunology to all these companies, gained as a Scientist and Team Leader at the Lepetit Research Center, part of multinational companies of Dow Chemical. She is a board member of Assobiotec and its representative in Europabio. 

Since June 2014, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of AIRI. Since June 2014, she has been a member of the Board of AFI. In June 2007, she received the Piazza Mercanti Award and in 2012 the Rosa Camuna Award for innovative female entrepreneurship.

In 2009, she is one of the 100 profiles in the volume dedicated to Milan "The protagonists: the women who make Italy".

Since 2010 she has become a member of "Women & Technologies," of which she has also been president. Maria Luisa is the author and co-author of more than 60 scientific publications and holds 11 international patents.

Since 2016, he has been a contract professor at the University of Pavia at the Department of Biotechnology where he teaches the course in Industrial Biochemistry.
