Born in Cagliari in 1978, he graduated with honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cagliari and obtained a Master's degree with honors in Innovation Management and New Technologies from the University of Niccolò Cusano. He also participated in an Executive Leadership Programme with the University of Oxford.

Entered first in GRTN and then in TERNA in 2005, he began his professional career in the design and authorization of strategic energy infrastructure of the national electrical system in the Network Planning and Development Directorate and since 2009 as a specialist in power system technologies and engineering.

Since 2013, he has been the national reference for the high-voltage power line systems, supporting the installation and maintenance processes of the assets. Subsequently, he worked at the Operational Research Center in Florence, coordinating the research and development activities of the Engineering and Asset Management Department.

Since 2018, he has held the role of Head of Innovation Factory Trasmissione at Terna Rete Italia, with the responsibility of managing the portfolio of technological innovation initiatives of the National Transmission Network. He is the Chairman of the Italian Next Generation Network Committee of CIGRE (International Council on Large Electric Systems), a member of the Research, Development and Innovation Committee of ENTSO-E (European network of electricity transmission system operators), and a representative at the Technical Superior Commission of CEI (Italian Electrotechnical Committee).

He is also the author and co-author of several publications in the field of power electrical systems.
