Gabriele Depta

Gabriele Depta is the Director of Research and Innovation at Intercos spa, a leader in the production of cosmetics for makeup for a wide range of clients, including the L'Oréal group, the Estée Lauder group, the LVMH group, Chanel, Sisley, Kiko, etc.

Born in Germany but raised in Italy, her personality has been shaped by the best of both cultures: precision and passion. She graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Milan where, after graduation, she spent two years on a scholarship.

She then worked in the regulatory department of a pharmaceutical company with the task of drafting technical dossiers, a profession that did not satisfy her professional ambitions. In 1997, she received a job offer from Intercos to join the creative marketing team, which she decided to accept, giving a significant turning point to her professional path. Her chemical background allowed her to quickly and increasingly immerse herself in laboratory activities, dividing her time between marketing and formulation for the development of winning products that enriched the company's portfolio and increased business. After a few years, she became the head of the applied research laboratory.

Always curious and in search of innovation, she has also collaborated in exploratory research and basic research, laying the foundation for its growth in the following years. In 2011 she became Director of R & I, leading the innovation labs in Italy, China, Korea, Brazil, and the United States. Finally, she is a lecturer in the Advanced Course in "Cosmetic Products: from formulation to consumer" organized by the University of Milan.
