Elisa Sicolo

My name is Elisa Sicolo, I was born in Lucca in 1992, a small and welcoming town in Tuscany. I have always been curious and reflective, my passion for scientific subjects since a young age. That's why I decided to graduate from the Scientific High School, with the goal of attending the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery already in mind. Of course, I did not neglect the humanistic side, always a lover of reading, I was involved in all possible school activities: school newspaper, language courses, volunteering.

Becoming a doctor has always been my dream in the drawer, I never imagined myself doing anything else in life. And this dream I realized in Pisa, where in my academic path I almost accidentally came across Thoracic Surgery, immediately falling in love with it. Thanks to this, I approached the world of robotic surgery, first with my thesis work, then as a resident. I immediately found robotic surgery fascinating and stimulating, also thanks to an important center like the one in Pisa, a source of growth for my professional and personal life.
