Chiara Volpato has been a full professor of Social Psychology at the Department of Psychology at the University of Milan-Bicocca since 2003. Previously, she worked at the universities of Padua as a researcher, and Trieste as an associate professor.

His research interests focus on the field of intergroup relations, with particular attention to the issues of inequality, dehumanization, prejudice, sexism, and the relationship between social psychology and history.

She spent periods of research at the University of Lausanne, the University of Nanterre-Paris X, and the University of Kent. In 2011 she was a visiting professor at the Université Descartes-Paris V.

She is a member of several scientific associations in the field of Social Psychology, both national and international. She serves as a referee for national and international scientific journals.

She was the scientific head of local research units within national projects funded by the MURST (COFIN and FIRB).

Publishes articles in national and international journals and is committed to disseminating scientific results in the field of social psychology.
