Milan Digital Week, Women&Tech and ATM invite citizens to board the Tram of Innovation. Official inauguration on Saturday 17th at 10 am.

On the occasion of the Milano Digital Week (15-18 March), Women&Tech has organized, in partnership with ATM, a traveling workshop. Instead of the classic meeting room, a scenic Tram Carrelli 1928 that, on 17 and 18 March, from the terminus at Piazza Fontana, will travel through the streets of the center, with tours lasting 45 minutes and active from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, for a total of 8 runs per day and 40 participants per tour.

What is the Tram of Innovation?

Gianna Martinengo, an entrepreneur who founded Women&Tech, has always been driven, in her years of research and application of technological innovation aimed at various types of targets and users, by a claim that she herself coined. Digital transformation, in her opinion, must be “Inspired by users, driven by science”. With this spirit, the Innovation Tram project was born, which ATM immediately supported.

The Digital Tram is a "mobile place" where citizens can listen, free of charge, to the experiences and testimonies of the protagonists of the digital transformation. Not just future scenarios, but concrete proposals and solutions that show how technology can help improve people's daily lives.

Several themes will be addressed by the professionals who will take turns at the virtual tram's wheel: ranging from smart mobility to cybersecurity, from the Internet of Things to User Experience, from Artificial Intelligence to robotics, to Enterprise 4.0. Special attention will be given to the impact that digital technology has on interpersonal relationships in companies, families, and society.

Available to citizens who want to board this special vehicle will be tablets provided by Microsoft, which will allow them to follow the interventions with the support of digital materials.

The Innovation Tram has sparked the interest of many companies, eager to share their experience with citizens and lead them to experience firsthand the many digital aspects that are already moving in society. The initiative is in fact supported by Gruppo Sella, Lenovo, Microsoft, Triumph, ab medica, Confartigianato, TalkWalker, InTime.

Equally numerous are the protagonists of the academic world and businesses who will animate the workshops during the Innovation Tram tours.

The list of interventions, divided by days, is available on the Women&Tech website, at the following address: https://www.womentech.eu/evento/non-perdere-il-tram-del-digitale .

“We are truly happy – comments Gianna Martinengo, founder of Women&Tech - to be able to offer Milanese people, and those who wish it, an experience that combines the maximum of tradition – the tram – with the maximum of innovation, represented by the future 'technological' that awaits citizens, as well as businesses and public administration entities. This original event is one of the highlights of Women&Tech's 2018 activities, because it makes us protagonists, together with ATM, of Milan Digital Week, which is nothing more than the representation of what surrounds us, mediated by people's experiences and their ability to look beyond”.

The inaugural tour will take place on Saturday, March 17th at 10:00 AM and will be opened by interventions from Roberta Cocco, Councilor for Digital Transformation and Civic Services of the Municipality of Milan, Marco Granelli, Councilor for Mobility and Environment of the Municipality of Milan, Luca Bianchi, President of ATM, Gianna Martinengo, entrepreneur, creator of the project; this will be followed by testimonies from Arianna Fontana, President of Confartigianato-Milan section, Elisa Liberale, Legal Affairs Manager at Microsoft, Anna Beduschi, Marketing Officer Italy at Talkwalker, Olga Iarussi, CEO of Triumph, Gruppo Sella.
