Digital innovation is bringing immense benefits for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
Health data (electronic health records, genomic data, patient registry data) are essential to support the delivery of healthcare services and constitute a valuable resource for the research of new therapies and more efficient diagnoses. Health data also form the basis for the development of policies to promote health and prevention.
The sharing of this data must also address the challenge of ensuring data protection for citizens and patients without limiting the potential for public health, research, and innovation.
These are some of the topics that were addressed during the online meeting "The power of data for health" scheduled for February 16th at 5:30 PM.
