Poster per l'evento intitolato "Premio “Le Tecnovisionarie®” 2013"

The International Award "Le Tecnovisionarie®", part of the international conference "Women&Technologies® 2008-2015", is awarded every year to women who have demonstrated vision, prioritize social impact, transparency in behavior, and ethics in their professional activities. They are "Le Tecnovisionarie" in the fields of research, innovation, and business.
Nominations for the VI edition of the Award were made online on the website www.womentech.eu until October 15, 2013. Among the 208 nominations, a selection of 27 finalists was chosen, including the 7 winners, one for each category of the competition. The Jury consists of 7 individuals selected from qualified representatives of the business, culture, and communication world.
In this edition, for the first time, the Association Women and Technologies introduced the Special Europe Award, dedicated to European personalities who have contributed to the theme "Women & Information Technologies".

    Addressed to women who have dedicated their lives and professions to the complex relationship between nutrition and health
    MARIA CARAMELLI, Director of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Piedmont, Liguria, and Valle d'Aosta
    Reason: For her high scientific profile and international experience which she has contributed to monitoring international crises and food emergencies, including that related to bovine spongiform encephalopathy, and for the continuity of commitment to increasingly fundamental issues for the well-being and prevention of the community.

  • WomenSustainability Award
    Addressed to women who have dedicated their work to the complex relationship between Food and Sustainability
    MARINA BORGHETTI, President of the "A loaf for everyone" Association
    Reason: For the conception and implementation of a project of great social commitment and solidarity, inspired by rigorous ethical and environmental principles such as non-waste, sustainability, and the value of food. "A loaf for everyone" is a reality that, through awareness campaigns and concrete actions, is committed to waste reduction and control and food redistribution, contributing to the building of a sustainable future.

  • WomenInnovation Prize
    Aimed at women involved in innovation in the field of food and nutrition
    NATHALIE MOLL , Secretary General of EuropaBio
    Motivation: For the demonstrated communication skills and commitment in promoting biotechnologies in various sectors, including health, contributing to the creation of international relationships and a positive connection between the industrial world and the European institutional world.

  • WomenMedia Award
    Aimed at women committed to making complex issues related to food and nutrition accessible to all, in order to protect consumers
    ROSANNA MASSARENTI , Director of Altroconsumo
    Reason: For the diligent and constant commitment to spreading knowledge related to the identity, needs, and protection of consumers. The magazine Altroconsumo, through a transparent and precise language, is able to convey the interests and fundamental rights of citizens, such as health and safety protection, the importance of living in a healthy environment, and the possibility of making ethical consumption choices.

Starting from the enhancement of local food and wine products, she has contributed to the export and dissemination of the quality and excellence of true Made in Italy with dedication, attention, and sensitivity.

    Intended for women who have reached top positions in important companies, thanks to their entrepreneurial and managerial skills.
    DANIELA OTTOLENGHI SACERDOTE, CEO of Collistar

    Motivation: For great motivation and remarkable ability in research approach; for the effort dedicated to the transfer of knowledge and methodologies related to important areas for health implications, such as microbiology, immunology, and nutrition, through innovative and multidisciplinary approaches.

  • Special Europe Award
    Intended for European personalities for their contribution to the theme "Women & Information Technologies"
    NEELIE KROES , Vice President of the European Commission, Commissioner responsible for the Digital Agenda
    Motivation: For the extraordinary commitment to create common and stable conditions throughout the European Union in the field of telecommunications growth, to improve equality and competitiveness of women and young people in an increasingly digital world.
    For the extraordinary commitment to create shared and durable conditions of growth of telecommunications in Europe, fostering equality and competitiveness of women and young generations in a progressively more digital world.
    The award is presented by : Federica Ortalli , Board Member of the Milan Chamber of Commerce and Maria Luisa Nolli , Board Member of the Women & Technologies Association

Awards Ceremony
The award ceremony, conducted by Repubblica journalist Cinzia Sasso, took place at the conclusion of the Conference on Tuesday, November 5th at 4:30 pm.
Neelie Kroes, winner of the "Special Europe Award," was presented with the Medal that President Giorgio Napolitano wanted to designate, as his representative award, to the VI edition of the International Conference Women&Technologies®: e-Nutrition.
The 2013 Technovisionaries were given a canvas from the ANITA collection specifically created for the Award by Carlotta Todeschini.
This collection is dedicated to women who have been able to combine "heart and invention" achieving prestigious milestones in service of others and therefore even more deserving of being remembered.
