Virtual environments are destined to become more and more part of our daily lives, with 25% of people expected to spend at least an hour a day in them by 2026 according to Gartner. On the occasion of the Milan Digital Week 2024, The Innovation Tram, organized by Women&Tech ® ETS - Women and Technologies Association in collaboration with ABB, Banca Generali, Banca Mediolanum, ETT, Fastweb Digital Academy, Iride Acque, Mediobanca Innovation Services, SAP and TeamSystem, with the technical support of DKTS, continues its journey into the Metaverse on the world's leading platform The Nemesis.
"Mobile place" where citizens can, free of charge, listen to the experiences and testimonies of the protagonists of the digital transformation, the project, conceived by the president of the Association, Gianna Martinengo, has reached its sixth edition. From 2018 to today, it has physically and virtually involved over 20,000 people, offering both insights into future scenarios made possible by technology, and concrete proposals and solutions that have shown how it can help improve the daily lives of people.
On October 11th and 14th, in line with the theme of Milan Digital Week, "The new language of the city", the Tram becomes a space accessible and usable by anyone, even those who cannot be physically present, offering an engaging and interactive way for a unique digital experience. The historic vintage tram of ATM and the new Tramlink recreated in the metaverse will move in a virtual space inspired by the central streets of Milan, starting and ending in Piazza della Scala. The experience remains accessible with all content on demand for a year, until the 2025 edition.
Participants can board using personalized avatars and interact in real-time with speakers and other users. An immersive experience that will allow you to move within the virtual environment, explore different areas, and actively participate in the proposed activities, also attending speeches by representatives of institutions, companies, schools, universities, and research.
The focus of the interventions is on emerging digital technologies (AI, Web 3.0, Metaverse, and Robotics, Cybersecurity) and their impact and intersection with biotechnologies, new materials, energy, and the environment. Particular attention has been dedicated to accessibility, ethics, and sustainability.
The experience is accessible from both iOS and Android smartphones, as well as through a browser by clicking on the button directly from this page.

Minimum system requirements: Computer / Mobile.
We also remind you that the Innovation Tram, during the morning of October 14th, will stop at Palazzo Giureconsulti, where a physical "speed date" event will take place, organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi and its Committee for Female Entrepreneurship, dedicated to Generation Z. Female students, male students, and young people will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the protagonists of innovation and change from companies, institutions, universities, and the research world, receive valuable advice, inspirations, and visions on the future of technology and innovation. An inspirational appointment, but also an opportunity to promote networking and the building of relationships that can positively influence the careers of young people.
