Locandine eventi 2025

Women&Tech ETS, in collaboration with The Nemesis, invites you to a unique event that will take place on Friday, January 24th in our virtual space. During the event, the book "Videogioco: Femminile, Plurale" will be presented, a work that explores the fundamental role of women in the video game industry. The presentation will be held by:

  • Fabrizia Malgieri, Video Game Professor at IULM University in Milan and Journalist at Corriere della Sera
  • Lorena Rao, Author, teacher, and video game critic
  • Tiziana Pirola, PhD Student in Analysis of Social and Economic Processes at the University of Milan-Bicocca.

Coordinate Alessia Soru, PhD student in Oncology, Hematology and Pathology, University of Bologna, and coordinator of the Women&Tech Young Ambassadors.

The event will take place live, offering the audience the opportunity to interact with the speakers and ask questions, for a lively and stimulating debate that will further enrich the experience.

Fabrizia, Lorena, and Tiziana will share their in-depth perspective on the role of women in the video game industry, enriching the cultural debate with their experiences and expertise.

The book highlights decades of female contributions that have shaped the evolution of gaming, challenging stereotypes and paving the way for greater inclusivity. Through a journey that starts from the early pioneers of the video game industry to contemporary digital heroines, the work examines the evolution of female roles, analyzing how narrative and cultural paradigms have changed in gaming. With detailed case studies, the book explores stories of women who have defied conventions, bringing innovation and unique perspectives to the industry, without neglecting the complexities related to discrimination that still exist. Special attention is given to streamers, pro players, and inclusive development teams, highlighting the potential of a more fair and representative gaming culture.

Thanks to the partnership with The Nemesis, you will be able to immerse yourself in the metaverse of the Innovation Tram, an interactive experience that combines technology and creativity. Join to discover how digital can transform the way we share ideas and culture.
