Researcher, National Nanotechnology Laboratory CNR-NANO, Lecce.
Born in Grumo Appula (BA) in 1975, she graduated in Chemistry from the University of Bari in 2000. Subsequently, for two years, she continued her post-graduate studies at the University of Berkeley (California), approaching the field of nanotechnologies and cultivating an interest in the medical applications of nanoparticles.
In 2003, he moved for a year to the nanoscience center CenS in Munich (Germany) where, as part of a Marie Curie program, he continued research in the field of nanocrystals. In March 2005, he obtained the title of Doctor of Research in "Chemical and Enzymatic Synthesis Applied" at the University of Bari.
Since 2005, she has been working as a researcher at the National Nanotechnology Laboratory of CNR-NANO, where she leads a research group in the field of nanostructured materials for biomedical purposes.
Since 2008, he has been collaborating with the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa for the development of magnetic nanocarriers for the transport of antitumor drugs (www.magnifyco.eu).
