Scientific journalist, writer, radio and television presenter, physician (but retired). Since 2018 she has been one of the hosts of Pagina3, the cultural press review of Radio3 Rai, and since 2005 of Radio3 scienza, the daily science program on the same network.
He has worked with Rai3 (Tutta Salute, Presa Diretta, Cosmo) and Rai Scuola (Nautilus, Memex). He writes for "La Repubblica" and its supplements, "Le Scienze", "Focus" and other publications. He teaches scientific journalism and science communication at a master's program at La Sapienza - University of Rome and at numerous other locations.
She has published several books. The latest is the essay Sospettosi (Einaudi, 2019). She wrote the novel Le mie amiche streghe (Einaudi, 2017, finalist for the Premio Chianti 2018) and, among others, the essays Perché ci piace la musica (Sironi 2007 and 2012, translated into three languages) and È la medicina, bellezza! – Perché è difficile parlare di salute (with Daniela Ovadia, Carocci, 2016, Galileo Prize 2017). For her journalistic and publishing activities, she has received numerous awards, the latest of which is the Premio Classico 2018.
