Selena Gioia

Born with a passion for computers and video games, after high school she spent three years in Ireland to learn the language, broaden her horizons, and engage with an international environment.

Back in Italy, she began her career at SkyLab Italia, where she held very different roles: from technical-commercial support to Quality Assurance, up to functional analysis and Project Management. This path allowed her to observe the software life cycle from multiple perspectives, from those who design it to those who use it every day. She worked particularly on software dedicated to human resource development, a topic she discovered a passion for and would continue to explore. Meanwhile, she graduated in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin.

When SkyLab was acquired, it became part of the TeamSystem group, where it now handles coordination among the various R&D functions. Among the projects it is most proud of are the technical training initiatives for colleagues, such as the Tech Conference: the annual company event that it helped organize for several years, with the goal of sharing vision and updates on the new challenges in the software world.

Mother of two little girls, with whom she loves to visit museums and organize STEM activities, she enjoys DIY projects and being in contact with nature.
