Chief Executive Officer and General Manager - Genzyme Italy.
Graduated in Medicine from the University of Parma, he began his career in the industry in 1986 at Farmitalia Carlo Erba, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the Medical and Marketing areas. In 1988, he joined the Menarini Group, where for more than 10 years he contributed to the development of the first Italian pharmaceutical group, becoming head of Pharmaceutical Operations in 1993 and general manager of Lusofarmaco in 1995.
In 2000, he began his experience in multinational companies, first as a founder and CEO of the Italian branch of Shire, then as vice president commercial retail market of GSK and, finally, since 2005, as CEO and general manager of the Italian branch of Genzyme, now a Sanofi company. In this role, he enriches his experience, extending it to pharmaceutical biotechnologies, particularly orphan drugs for rare diseases.
In 2008 he joined Assobiotec, where in 2010 he was appointed deputy vice president, with responsibility for the biotechnological pharmaceutical area.
