Olga Capasso

Olga Capasso, graduated in Biology at the University Federico II of Naples, then specialized in molecular biology at The Rockefeller University, New York.

After 12 years of research activities in Italy and abroad, since 1989 he has been dealing with Intellectual Property, particularly focusing on the protection of inventions and research results in the fields of biotechnology, life sciences, and pharmaceuticals. Since 2002, he has been a Partner and head of the patent department at the De Simone & Partners law firm. He is an Italian Patent Consultant, authorized by the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, European Patent Consultant, authorized by the European Patent Office, European Design and Model Consultant, authorized by the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market.

She was a contract professor at the University of Naples Federico II and at the University La Sapienza of Rome for courses on the protection of biotechnological research at Federico II, as well as a lecturer at various masters programs, including the Master in Intellectual Property at the Polytechnic University of Zurich.

She is the author of more than 20 scientific publications in the field of industrial property.
