International Award "The Technovisionaries" 2026Journalist and writer, Monica D’Ascenzo currently works in the Finance & Markets editorial team and is the diversity and inclusion editor of Il Sole 24 Ore, having conceived and been responsible since 2016 for Alley Oop – The Other Half of the Sun, the multi-author blog dedicated to an inclusive society from the perspective of defending people’s rights. She joined the 24 Ore Group in 2001 and has worked in the editorial offices of Ventiquattrore.tv, the Radiocor news agency, and the weekly Moda24. Previously, she had professional experience in Bloomberg TV’s London newsroom, where she hosted the morning financial program. She has also been a television author for the program Internet Café hosted by Andrea Pezzi and for the documentaries Nuovi Mondi by Rai Educational. She has written “Five Years of Private Equity in Italy” (Egea, 2004), “Sms, Only Super Males” (L’Airone Editrice, 2006), “Women on the Brink of Economic Crisis” (Rizzoli, 2009), “Step Aside.
