Chief Executive Officer, Sevengrams
International studies and years of experience in the world of roasting coffee combined with a great passion for a product symbol of "Made in Italy". This, in summary, is the educational and motivational background that led Mary Mauro, CEO of Sevengrams since 2009, a company active in the production of espresso coffee, to confidently undertake a new entrepreneurial challenge in a market very familiar to her.
Mary Mauro, born in Rome in February 1962, studied at the Catholic University of Milan and graduated in 1984 in Economics and Commerce with a thesis in Financial Analysis and Balance Sheet. For the development of the thesis, she spent a period in America taking advantage of this opportunity to acquire a fluent use of the English language at the University of Berkeley in San Francisco.
After graduation, he specialized in the field of communication and between 1990 and 1996 participated in the Master's program "Continuing the Enterprise" organized by Publitalia in Milan, having, among other things, the opportunity to also deepen the typical themes of succession in family businesses.
In the same years, he obtained a Master's degree at SDA Bocconi in Marketing Management and attended two courses at the Milan branch of Saint Xavier University in Managerial Accounting and Strategic Planning and Decision Making support.
Professional experience began in 1984 at Studio Cajani e Associati in the accounting and administrative area. Two years later, he joined the family company, Mauro Demetrio S.p.A., starting his career path towards positions of increasing responsibility.
In 2008, after exiting Mauro's shareholding, she decided to use her wealth of experience to create a completely new project. Thus, in October 2009, Sevengrams was born, a company that completely deviates from the traditional logic of Italian roasting and aims, through the proposal of excellent blends under the 7Gr. brand, an absolutely atypical distribution model and an important activity of communication and "relationship" with the consumer, to promote and relaunch, also at an international level, an authoritative culture on espresso coffee.
Mary Mauro holds the position of Coordinator of the Communication area and Secretary General of the Women and Technology Association.
She has been living in Milan since 1979, is married, and a mother of two boys aged 18 and 16.
