Curriculum

Born in Foggia on 01/27/1975, she obtained a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Bari, with a grade of one hundred and ten out of one hundred and ten with honors. She obtained a PhD in Sustainable Agricultural Ecosystems.

He is currently serving at the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Food, Natural Resources and Engineering of the University of Foggia as an Associate Professor in Special Zootechnics. She is the Delegate of the Rector of the University of Foggia for Placement and coordinator of the Master's Degree Course in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of the University of Foggia. She deals with animal welfare issues in sheep, paying particular attention to alterations in physiological, endocrine, and immunological mechanisms, especially under thermal stress conditions, and their impact on the quality of zootechnical production. The scientific papers she has authored since 2002 are 244, of which 118 are in refereed international journals and 9 chapters in scientific books.

He has scientific collaboration with the INRA, with the Morendun Research Institute, the University of Thessaly, with the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), Michigan State University, Virginia Tech, United States. He is an ordinary member of the Association for Animal Science and Production (Aspa), of the Italian Society of Veterinary Sciences (S.I.S.Vet.), and founding member of the National Network of Veterinary Immunology (RNIV), within which he has also been treasurer. He is a referee for numerous international journals as well as for the National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, External Expert for the evaluation of COST Actions, referee ANVUR appointed by GEV07 for the VQR 2004-2010 and 2011-2014, expert appointed for the evaluation of proposals based on the work program H2020- Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy.

She is a member of the Editorial Board of international journals: Journal of Buffalo Science, Dairy, Animals, Frontiers in Veterinary Science. She has been a member of operational units and coordinator for the implementation of about 40 scientific research programs, and a speaker at numerous National and international Congresses.
