Marco Leonardi is a Professor of Political Economy, at the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods of the University of Milan.

He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and has been a visiting scholar at MIT, Georgetown, and Berkeley. His scientific research focuses on labor and education economics, inequality, wages, and unemployment.

He served as economic advisor in the Renzi and Gentiloni governments, after which he wrote a book titled "Le Riforme Dimezzate", EGEA 2018.

Currently, he is an advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance Roberto Gualtieri.
