Giuliana Vallanti

Giuliana Vallanti is Director of Development & Quality Control at MolMed, a biotechnology company focused on research, development, production, and clinical validation of gene and cell therapies for the treatment of cancer and rare diseases.

After obtaining a degree in Biology and a PhD in biochemical and pharmacological methods at the Unit of Immunopathogenesis of AIDS at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, he joined MolMed in 2005 where he contributed with increasing responsibilities and numerous publications to the development of industrial processes in the field of gene and cell therapy.

Matured significant experience particularly in the development of T cell and hematopoietic cell transduction processes with lentiviral and retroviral vectors in therapeutic projects aimed at treating rare diseases and in approved immunotherapy projects (CAR-T) for clinical studies and the market.

It also contributes to the development of GMP processes for the production and purification of vectors on a large scale.
