Journalist, writer, popularizer, Chief Editor of the scientific editorial staff of Corriere della Sera.

Curriculum

He is the author of several books on the history of science and technology and space exploration. Among these are "Space Age" (Mondadori, 2007), "Scientists" (Bolis Edizioni, 2008), "The Adventure of Science: challenges, inventions and discoveries in the pages of Corriere della Sera" (Rizzoli, 2009).

In 2000, the International Astronomical Union at Harvard University (USA) assigned the NAME "GIOVANNI CAPRARA" TO A NEW PLANETOID in orbit between Mars and Jupiter in recognition of his work in astronomical and space outreach. In the same year, he also received the "ConScientia" award (scientific journalist of the year) jointly awarded by the Milanese Universities: Statale, Bocconi, Politecnico, Cattolica.

In 2010, he won the European Science Writers Award given by the Euroscience Foundation.
