Gianluca Gonella

Gianluca Gonella joined Dassault Systèmes in 2006 as PLM Director Italy to oversee the sales and marketing activities of Dassault Systèmes solutions in Italy. He then continued his professional career within the company, taking on roles of increasing importance and responsibility over the years. He has held positions such as Vice President BT (large customers) for the Mediterranean area, Vice President of the Value Solution Channel Emea South, and Managing Director EuroMed.

Since January of this year, he has been managing Strategy and Operations for the area that includes Italy, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and the Balkan States. In his current role, Gianluca Gonella is responsible for defining strategic guidelines and coordinating an extensive international Operations team. Previously, Gonella worked for IBM, where he held technical and high-level managerial roles. In recent years, he was responsible for the Europe South Region IBM PLM business unit, overseeing sales of CAD and PDM software developed by Dassault Systèmes.

Gianluca Gonella graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genoa in 1986 with a thesis on dynamic analysis methods of structures. He is married and has 2 children.
