Gabriella Camboni

Maria Gabriella Camboni is the CEO of BiovelocITA, the first Italian accelerator dedicated to biotech, founded together with Silvano Spinelli and Sofinnova Partners. Until November 2013, she was the Chief Operating Officer of EOS (Ethical Oncology Science), a start-up dedicated to translational medicine in oncology co-founded by her and Silvano Spinelli in 2006; in 2013 EOS was acquired by Clovis Oncology, Inc.

Previously, she has held various positions in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry: she was co-founder and Head of Development of Novuspharma (a spin-off of Roche, listed on the Italian New Market and later acquired by Cell Therapeutics, Inc.) and then, until 2006, Head of Medical Affairs Europe in Novartis Oncology.

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the State University of Milan, she is a specialist in Gastroenterology and Clinical Pharmacology. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Mission Therapeutics (Cambridge, UK) and Genenta (Milan, Italy).
