Emma designs and creates creative, sustainable, and smart destinations through participatory paths that generate awareness and 'possible change' even in places of (im)possibility.
He does so with an innovative and creative approach to destination management and marketing, local development, and governance, also as a technician engaged in politics.
He has worked for major travel companies, in Italy and abroad, including TripAdvisor, TTG, World Travel Market, Isango (now part of TUI). In 2014 he founded Destination Makers, a consulting company with which he has developed numerous collaborations with national and international public entities.
With his team, he conceived and curated the campaign 'Recharge in Nature - Cellphone-free shelters in the Dolomites' for the restart after the Vaia storm, which with over 19 thousand applications from all over the world is considered a good practice in territorial marketing.
During the pandemic, he donated to the 'Sea Working' campaign, which made Brindisi the pioneering city in Italy on the topic of tourism through smart working. From 2021 to 2023, he was the Technical Assessor for Tourism, Territorial Marketing, Creativity, and International Cooperation in Brindisi, now considered a national laboratory of innovation in territorial marketing, an example of regeneration, creativity, and recovery.
In 2022, the city was chosen by Airbnb as one of the top 20 remote work destinations in the world, and this initiative is contributing to the development of national policies on talent attraction and the creation of welcoming communities for digital nomads.
Coordinate the 'destination' theme in the scientific committee of BTO, one of the main events on innovation in tourism, promoted by the Tuscany Region, is a speaker at major tourism events (TTG, BIT, BTO, etc.), visiting lecturer at universities such as IULM and Ca' Foscari, and has contributed to publications on tourism and culture, including the 'Io Sono Cultura 2021' Report by Fondazione Symbola and Unioncamere.
More than a job, she considers her commitment a mission, which is why she has chosen to return to the South, to Brindisi, of which she is a passionate and convinced ambassador.
