Emilia Rio

Born in Varese in 1961. Graduated in Law from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan in 1985.

After an experience at M.I.T.O., a company of the IFI/IFIL Group, he joined the Personnel Department of Pirelli Pneumatici in April 1987 and remained in the Group until 2000. During these thirteen years, he held various roles of increasing responsibility within the Pirelli Group companies: Pirelli Pneumatici, Pirelli Coordinamento Pneumatici, Pirelli Spa, eventually reaching the position of HR Director of Pirelli Cavi Energia.

In 2000/2001, he participated in the start-up of NETESI, an Application Server Provider for SMEs financed by Angel Venture, Class, Accenture, Telecom Italia.

From 2001 to 2011, he held the position of Vice President of Personnel, Organization, and Communication at Techint Industrial Corporation Spa directly reporting to the President.

In 2009 she was elected President of the Metalworkers sector in Assolombarda (2009/2011).

Since September 2011, he has held the position of Director of Human Resources and Real Estate of the A2A Group, since June 2014 the position of Director of Human Resources and Organization, and since October 2016 he has held the role of Director of Human Resources, Organization, and Change Management.

Since May 2018, he has held the position of Director of Human Resources, HSE, Organization, and Change Management.

From April 2012 to June 2015, Member of the Board of Directors at EPCG.

Since May 2013, a Board Member of AMSA and from June 2013 to September 2019, President of Amsa.

Secretary of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee of the A2A Group since July 2014.

From September 2016, I have been a board member of LGH Group and a member of the Territory Committee.

Since 2014, a member of the Executive Compensation and Corporate Governance Observatory Committee of Luiss Business School in Rome.

Since 2017 a member of the Advisory Board of the HR Innovation Practice Observatory at Politecnico di Milano.
