Emanuela Girardi is the founder and president of Pop AI (Popular Artificial Intelligence), a non-profit association whose mission is to explain to people what artificial intelligence technologies are and what impact they have on everyday life. She is a member of the artificial intelligence expert group of the Ministry of Economic Development that has developed the Italian national strategy for artificial intelligence.

He is a member of the Advisory Board of CLAIRE, the Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe, the largest community of scientists, researchers, and technologists experts in artificial intelligence in the world. He is a member of the Executive Committee of ADRA, the European Association on AI, Data, and Robotics that works with the European Commission to implement the Horizon Europe 2021-2027 investment plan.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of AIxIA, the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence. Emanuela earned a degree in Business Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and later the CEMS Master's program (Community of European Management Schools) at the Catholic University of Louvain, Louvain la Neuve (Belgium).

He has lived, studied, and worked in various European countries and in the United States. At the beginning of his career, he worked in high-tech sectors of the "new economy" such as mobile telecommunications, broadband (FTTH, fiber optic to the home), and video streaming services. Later on, he had an entrepreneurial experience in an Italian commercial company in the automotive sector where he was involved in the introduction of new technologies and the digital transformation of the business.
