She is the Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Group, overseeing the protection of personal data in Italy, Europe, and in the other countries where the company has a presence.
Prior to joining Engineering, Elsa worked as Global Privacy Manager at Eni Group, where she led the Privacy Compliance Program and outreach activities. She has focused on compliance topics for more than 15 years and specialized in data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity issues. She advises Italian and foreign clients, assists and directs the company in innovative development projects related to the application of new technologies and the use of artificial intelligence in various business sectors, from energy to health, in both the public and private segments.
Elsa graduated in Law from La Sapienza University in Rome and obtained a Master's degree in Tax Law from Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. Since the beginning of her career, she has worked in compliance, assisting many major players in the energy industry by providing daily legal advice and representing their interests before Italian authorities.
Elsa’s expertise also includes consumer protection and Legislative Decree 231/01, analyzing the regulatory framework in those specific areas, or assessing the risks stemming from a specific commercial strategy, clients of Engineering can always count on Elsa’s innovative thinking and deep understanding of the law. Teacher in Training courses in the field of privacy, data protection and cybersecurity at Alma Mater University (Bologna) Luiss University (Rome) and Bocconi University (Milan).
