• Since 01.01.2011 Director of the Department of Biology and Plant Production of the CRA;
• 01.01 - 31.12.2010 Appointed Director of the CRA-SCV in Sant'Angelo Lodigiano (LO);
• 20.11.2003 - 31.12.2010 Director in charge of the CRA-RIS in Vercelli;
• From 2001 to 2003 he was a Research Manager at CRA-MAC in Bergamo;
• From 1991 to 2001 he is the First Researcher at CRA-MAC in Bergamo;
• From 01.06.1983 to 19.11.2003, researcher at the Maize Cultivation Section - Experimental Institute for Cereal Cultivation, in Bergamo.
• From 01.10.1981 to 31.05.1983 researcher by competition in the IRSA roles, at the Experimental Institute for Forage Crops, Lodi.

INSTITUTIONAL ACTIVITIES

• 28/06/2001-04/11/2006: National Delegate in the COST Action 851 "Gametic Cells and Molecular Breeding for Crop Improvement";
• 01/01/1995-31/04/2000: National Delegate in the COST Action 824 "Gametic Embryogenesis" of DG XII, EU (Brussels);
• Since May 2000, he has been a part of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Villa Gualino Biotechnology Foundation, Turin.
• 1996-1997 Biennium: member of the Scientific Board of the Italian Society of Agricultural Genetics (SIGA): Coordinator of the Working Group "Genetically Modified Organisms" for the period 1997-1999;
• 1997: Evaluator member for the FAO/IAEA/ITALY CRP 1989-95 project "Improvement of basic food crops in Africa through plant breeding including the use of induced mutations".
