Elena Bottinelli, born in Milan in 1966, is the Head of Innovation and Digitalization of the San Donato Group and CEO of Villa Erbosa Nursing Home and Villa Chiara Nursing Home in Bologna, both healthcare facilities of the San Donato Group. Previously, she was CEO of San Raffaele Hospital and Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute.

Graduated in Engineering and specialized in Bioengineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan, before joining the San Donato Group, she worked in leading multinational companies in the medical and orthopedic devices sector.

He is a member of the Alumni Association and a mentor in the Mentorship Program at the Politecnico di Milano. He is among the founding members of Leads - Women Leaders in Health: a network of women, open to men as well, that promotes female leadership in the healthcare sector, aiming for equality in top positions in public and private organizations.

In 2019, Forbes included her among the 100 most successful Italian women, also thanks to her constant interest in the development and application of innovative technologies to improve the quality of patient care, such as telemedicine to encourage the so-called "distributed hospital" in the territory. According to "Inspiring Fifty," she is among the 50 most influential women in the world in STEM.

In 2021, she received the "Golden Apple" of the Marisa Bellisario award.

He has two children, both now graduated and working. She shares a passion for cycling with her husband, with whom she has also toured Japan.
