Elena Bascone is a public policy professional, focusing on the economic and political challenges of the future.
His research ranges from economic, security, and technological policy.
In particular, his master's thesis in 2020 developed a model for evaluating the effectiveness of sanctions, applied to the Council of Europe-Russia dispute.
Later he delved into energy policy (Nord Stream 2 in 2021) and budget policy (EU Commission in 2022).
Passionate about computer programming, she partially coded her Future Blog in 2022 and started her project, Res Publica, in 2018.
In 2023, she dedicated herself to immersive technology, obtaining the scholarship of the Charlemagne Prize for a one-year research project on European consortia and collaboration in the metaverse.
Amb. Wolfgang Ischinger, former president of the Munich Security Conference, mentors her and is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS).
