Curriculum

Diego Mora, Full Professor in the scientific disciplinary sector of Agricultural Microbiology at the Department of Food, Nutrition and Environment Sciences (DeFENS), University of Milan. President of the Degree Courses Teaching Boards (Bachelor's and Master's) in Food Science and Technology, member of the teaching board of the PhD program in Food Systems Sciences.

Professor Mora is the responsible teacher for the following courses: Microorganism Biology, Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Technology; Human Microbiota Ecology, Master's Degree in Food and Human Nutrition; Food Fermentation Biotechnologies, Master's Degree in Food Science and Technology.

Professor Mora has carried out and continues to carry out research activities in the field of Agricultural and Food Microbiology. Specifically, the research activities coordinated by Professor Mora fall within the following themes: i) biology of microorganisms and diversity, ii) biology and biotechnology of microorganisms of food interest with particular reference to the microbial group of lactic acid bacteria of dairy interest, iii) the role of the virome in modulating microbial communities and in the spread of antibiotic resistance. Professor Mora's scientific activity is supported by more than 90 publications in peer-reviewed international journals (Diego Mora-ORCID no. 0000-0002-6692-9301).
