Milanese, she graduated in Chemistry at the University of Pavia, where in 2001 she also received an Honorary Degree in Pharmacy.
In 2004, the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome conferred upon her an Honorary Degree in Medicine. She is the President and CEO of the Bracco Group, President and CEO of the Italian Diagnostic Center, and President of the Bracco Foundation.
He has held numerous positions in the Confindustria system, such as Vice President of Confindustria for research and innovation from 2008 to 2016, and as the first female President in the history of Assolombarda from 2005 to 2009.
He has also held the positions of President of Federchimica, Vice President of Confindustria for innovation and technological development, President of Responsible Care, President of the Sodalitas Foundation for the development of entrepreneurship in social issues, and has served as President of Expo 2015 SpA, President of the "Italian Committee" Women&Expo, and General Commissioner of the Section for the Italian Pavilion.
Currently, he is Vice President of the Italy China Foundation, President of the Giuseppina MAI Foundation of Confindustria, which promotes and supports public and private research, and President of the National Technological Cluster Alisei. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, of which he was Vice President, and sits on the Board of Directors of Bocconi University in Milan and that of La Scala Academy.
In 2002, she received the Gold Medal from the Municipality of Milan and in 2004 she was awarded the honor of Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
