Caterina Policaro, teacher, expert in e-learning and technologies in education, blogger, web influencer, also interested in social network dynamics and online communication.

Graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Calabria, after attending some advanced courses on distance learning and educational design, in 2002 she attended the Master's degree "Designer and manager of online training" at the University of Florence and in 2003 she won a scholarship for the OET course Online Education and Training at Bocconi University.

Author of "Emotional Intelligence & e-learning" and "From Learning Objects to Knowledge Objects. What does the NETWORK produce?" together with Jose Mangione and speaker at the workshops of the Italian Trainers Association on the theme "E-learning, opportunities and development prospects with distance learning", AIF Basilicata (Potenza, April 2005) and AIF Calabria (Vibo Valen­tia, April 2004).

She is the author of "User perception and added value of online professional communities: the case of elearningtouch.it" (Form@re, September-October 2003) and "Skills balance, objective evaluation and portfolio. Three worlds to integrate, a model for the Master Designer and manager of online training" (Form@re, Mar/Apr 2002 - http://formare.erickson.it).

He published "One hundred eight criteria for evaluating e-learning platforms" in the book AA.VV. "Women and Technology: enhancement of FAD experiences for female employment", Guerini Editore (May 2003). He continues to share his knowledge in these areas on the blog www.catepol.net, which in April 2009 was ranked as the fourth European blog (first Italian) at the European Blog Awards in Bilbao.
