Barbara Marinali was born in Rome in 1964.
From February 2023, he is President of the board of directors of Acea SpA. Since April of the same year, he also holds the position of Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
From December 2021 to April 2023 she was President of the Board of Directors of Open Fiber SpA.
From April 2021 to April 2024, he held the position of independent counselor on the Board of Directors of Webuild SpA (chairman of the related party transactions committee, member of the strategic committee, and the remuneration and nominations committee).
From September 2020 to March 2022, she held the role of Senior Advisor to the CEO of Snam, where she was also the team leader of an important project for the country's water infrastructure. From 2013 to 2020, she was a member of the first Board of the Transport Regulation Authority.
From 2009 to 2013, she was the Director General for road infrastructure at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
From 2006 to 2008, she was Director of the Secretariat of the CIPE (Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning) and acting head of the Department for Planning and Coordination of Economic Policy at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
Other significant experiences include: Competition and Market Authority, Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Ministry of Productive Activities (now MIMIT).
Graduated with honors in Economics and Commerce from the University of La Sapienza in Rome, she is a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.
