He deals with communication and creativity. He is the owner of the company Progetti Nuovi. He is a university professor. He has published essays and stories. He started working in 1974 as a copywriter while still attending the State University. He founded his own advertising agency in 1983. He was the creative director and president of the Italian branch of the international group Bozell between 1990 and 1996, and a consultant between 1997 and 2004. In 2005 he founded Progetti Nuovi.
She has been a freelance journalist since 1988. She collaborates with various publications and with Rai, focusing on political communication. She taught at the University La Sapienza in Rome (1994-95), the University of Turin and the University of Milan (2001-02), and the IULM University (1998-2006). Since 2007, she has been teaching at Bocconi University in Milan. In 2003, she conceived, produced, and launched the non-profit project for pediatric emergency care "Our children. How to protect them, how to help them", which was reintroduced in 2014.
Between 2004 and 2005 she was the coordinator and scientific director of the creativity initiatives organized by the Tuscany Region. She holds numerous positions and awards: she is a member of the Board of Directors of Illy spa, part of the Jury of the literati of the Campiello Prize, and is inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Italian Art Directors Club, being the first female advertising professional in the Club's over twenty-five years of existence. In 2013 Rai Storia dedicated an episode to her along with Emanuele Pirella. In 2015 she designed and launched the #dilloinitaliano initiative, against the spread of Itanglese.
In 2015, the University of Modena and Reggio awarded her the Pirella Prize "Communicator of the Year". Since 2008, she has been managing the non-profit website Nuovo e Utile, dedicated to theories and practices of creativity. Since 2012, she writes weekly for internazionale.it. She is the author of a book of stories and several essays on creativity and communication.
